Mark began his visual investigation of fire connections sometime in the late 2002. By around 2017 he only took pictures of connections that were being used for other purposes.
This valve in the exterior wall at Mass Museum of Contemporary Art in North Adams, MA was the one Mark photographed the most over the years.

The fire connections series was celebrated at a public exhibition during August 2017 in Westport, MA at Linda Rogers’ invitational backyard art fest.
And more recently re-installed along with other large banners in our backyard.
