Transforming Libraries – an essay

My intensive work with the library here in Hudson began in 2009. At some point I began to think about the changing uses of libraries more broadly. This lead to the beginnings of an essay that I finally finished in 2016 – perhaps not coincidentally the same year that the Hudson Area Library moved into its new facility in the Armory (4/2016).

The essay reflects in part my experiences in the corporate world and ideas from Schumpeter, the economist most famous for “creative destruction”.
