Karen and I had a final visit to Berkeley Heights before Meredith, Parker, the cat and dog flew out to Seattle to take up residence at the new house in Arlington. Ed and Maggie will follow along at some point in the future. The transportation of Flash the horse is up in the air.
End of an era for Karen and me. We had been coming for Thanksgiving with Ed and Meredith for several decades. Now we will have to get on a plane for a visit though at the moment this doesn’t seem too likely.
They had put the Berkeley heights house up for sale in February. It sold very promptly. This made the move to the house in WA which they had purchased last year a must. Meredith was already doing virtual chemistry lessons so her physical presence in NJ was no longer mandatory. Maggie was struggling with her housing in Brooklyn. She also had converted her work to purely online.
