Jonathan sets off on another around the world adventure

3/9/1991

from Jonathan’s Facebook page on 3/9/2021:

30 years ago… NYC… about to get on the bus to Kennedy Airport then on to Oslo (for two months), then by train to Budapest, Moscow, and via the Trans-Siberian to Beijing. Then, still by train on to Chengdu for three months, by train to Guangzhou and Hong Kong, and back to Boston. 1991. The trip was about 5 months overall. My second time around the world within two years, at age 19-21. The trip from Budapest to Chengdu was non-stop. I believe it was 13 straight days on the train. The total number of days on the train from Oslo to Hong Kong was 18 or 19 or 20 days. Lost count.”
